Charming
Lots a Flash is a red dun American Paint horse. She stands 15
hands. Charming was born in Michigan on March 27, 1980. Her
left eye is partially blue, giving Charming a “twinkle.”
Purchased from an auction by a New Jersey county facility,
Charming enjoyed a 17 year career as a lesson horse before
retiring from the program in November 2007. In August 2009,
Charming moved to her retirement home at Ryerss Farm where she
enjoys spending her days out to pasture.
Chrissy
Little Wonder Chrissy is a
black Thoroughbred and Quarter horse cross. She stands 15.1
hands. Born in 1978, Chrissy was a successful event
horse. She retired to Ryerss in July 1998 and spends her time
with Judd.
Dancer
Rustic Dancer is a chestnut grade
horse. He stands 15 hands. Born in 1971, Dancer loves
attention and will come when he is called. He likes to turn the
lights off and on in the barn.
In the early 1980s, Dancer
met his former owner in California after a huge fire broke out
in Malibu Canyon. Tied to a pony line, Dancer, along with
other horses, was led to safety at another ranch. But, he
was never claimed by his owners. After a time and
consultation with a lawyer, the good Samaritan sold Dancer to a
woman who enjoyed endurance riding. With her, Dancer raced
in the Malibu 25 mile race, taking Dancer and his owner past the
site where the TV series MASH was filmed along with several
western studio towns. When Dancer’s
owner moved East, Dancer experienced a scenic tour of the United
States. Instead of meeting his companion in New York, he was
taken to Florida and his owner received a horse destined for
Boston. Dancer ultimately was reunited with his owner and
stayed with her until he retired to Ryerss in October 1992.
DD
